Networking and NGO Capital Building
MENTAL HEALTH AND AIDS MAINSTREAMING
VIDIYAL is member of TNVHA Network of NGOs since 1995. As Theni District’s district resource centre of TNVHA, VIDIYAL organized training programs for metal health and AIDS mainstreaming. This is basically awareness development program. It was started in 2007. In first round of the program 40 beneficiaries staff members of NGOs and CBOs –were covered. In second round of the program another 40 beneficiaries –staff members of NGOs and CBOs were covered.
CNRI - DISTRICT LEVEL RESPONSIBILITY
In 2007, VIDIYAL was charged with the responsibility of being Theni District Convenor of NGOs by CNRI, a national network of NGOs in India. Accordingly, we convened 10 NGOs and conducted Bharath Vikas Yathra to popularize the central government’s schemes to NGOs and rural people. The inauguration of yathra was conducted on 23.2.2008, at VIDIYAL head office.
CANG – Campigning against Negligence of Girl Child
VIDIYAL has been identified as District Facilitation Centre (DFC) for Theni (out of 7 districts in South Tamil Nadu), by DEEPS, a Dharmapurai based NGO for campaigning against the negligence of girl child. Our initiatives on this matter have already been covered under ‘women development’ section.

VIDIYAL is member of RED Network of NGOs since 2005.

VIDIYAL is member of VANI Network of NGOs since 2006.
